Job Description

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure.
Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
Candidate Responsibilities
Web Analyst-Summary:
Support the analytic needs of Caterpillar business units by analyzing web traffic using Google Analytics to produce reports with analysis.
Create holistic dashboards by pulling data from different data sources and websites.
Collaborate with external partners such as agencies to assist with data collection and reporting.
Gather core insights from the data to suggest fundamental improvements to the site experience and optimization of campaigns (including PPC, SEO, social, email, banners, print, etc.)
Work with website development teams to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements.
Partner with business units and outside the company to ensure that best practices in metrics are being incorporated into the websites and reports.
Manage data pulls of varying size and complexity on aggressive timelines

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent).
Five to seven years progressively responsible IT job-related experiences.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software and current development processes and tools.
Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications.
Technical Skills
Experience with: Google Analytics Premium required Google Tag Manager required
Powerpoint required

BigQuery highly desired

Regex desired
Ecommerce reporting desired
Advanced knowledge in: Google Analytics Premium required Excel (including macros) required
