Join our Fresh Seafood Department as a Seafood Clerk (Back of House)!

At Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, we take pride in offering our customers the freshest, highest-quality seafood, delivered daily. Our Seafood Department features an impressive selection of fish, lobster, crab, clams, oysters, scallops, and much more.


As part of our team, you'll help support the preparation and presentation of our fresh seafood offerings while working alongside our talented Seafood Chefs, who create delicious gourmet seafood dishes for customers to enjoy at home. If you're passionate about quality food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Our Seafood (BOH) clerks are responsible for cooking our fresh seafood, making and preparing salads, seafood sandwiches and grab and go items for our customers!

Responsibilities

  1. The Seafood Clerks will cook and steam seafood for customer purchases, including grab and go items
  2. Check and verify freshness of seafood items in live tanks. Verify and remove spoiled product and rotate merchandise
  3. The Seafood Clerk will weigh, price, and package customer selections using weigh scales, label machine and wrapping machine
  4. Work in a safe and proper manner, exercising safe food handling practices.
  5. Exercise proper safety practices on use of all equipment
  6. Operate and clean seafood equipment and tools
  7. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1. 18 years of age or older
  2. Working knowledge of seafood preparations and displays within a seafood department
  3. Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems
