What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observed conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify hazards, unauthorized activity, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas, assist with checking credentials or visitor access procedures, and document security-related incidents and/or daily activities in required reports.
  • Support public-facing operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, life-related, and/or property-related issues to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
