Salesforce Developer Analyst

Austin, Texas 78744 (Hybrid)

8-month contract with possibility to extension

The candidate will be part of the client’s IT Treasury & Education team, creating and maintaining public and internal Salesforce applications. He/she will perform highly advanced analytical and development work in the creation of client’s Salesforce applications, as well as provide technical expertise to the team with design discussions and peer reviews. He/she will assist in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset and will provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes.

The candidate will perform these tasks:

  • Provide Salesforce analysis and development services.
  • Take ownership of reported issues and complete assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner reporting progress to the Salesforce manager.
  • Analyze and maintain Salesforce user authentication methodology and security architecture.
  • Design, code, and document links, content, and component application solutions.
  • Document coding and configuration procedures.
  • Work closely with business units, application teams, and infrastructure areas to identity, review and evaluate the solution requirements.
  • Work with internal business users and clients in an Agile environment to evaluate business needs, analyze processes, and create system documentation that reflects the finished Salesforce application.
  • Identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Participate in development planning and scheduling.
  • Prepare charts, diagrams, and tables that depict the present and/or proposed systems in terms of costs, benefits derived, and processes accomplished.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise for Salesforce applications.

Candidate skills and qualifications:

Years - Required/Preferred - Experience

7 - Required - Experience as a software developer/engineer on multiple lifecycle implementations of large-scale ERP IT applications

6 - Required - Experience in Salesforce, Apex, and JavaScript

6 - Required - Experience in Salesforce declarative programming and administration (custom objects, Lightning pages, Apex, reports, workflows, and assignment rules).

6 - Required - Experience in developing software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd party APIs

6 - Required - Experience in developing test scenarios and test scripts, performing unit and system testing, and documenting results

4 - Required - Experience with highly complex application security requirements as well as experience designing and supporting systems adhering to information protection and security standards.

2 - Required - Experience in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

1 - Required - Experience with serving in a senior development position on at least one full lifecycle implementation of Salesforce

5 - Preferred - Experience in providing consultation in a mentoring role to other technical resources

5 - Preferred - Experience in establishing, documenting, and communicating standards, best practices, fixes, and providing system direction & recommendation

5 - Preferred - Experience in understanding of computer related tools, methods, platforms, and operating systems

5 - Preferred - Experience with UI/UX design experience

3 - Preferred - Experience in working and communicating effectively across multiple technical groups (including working with subject-matter-experts and other business resources).

2 - Preferred - Experience in MuleSoft

1 - Preferred - Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Dataloader and software ticketing system

1 - Preferred - Public sector experience (Federal, State, or Local government).
