The Opportunity

This position is Columbus, OH based in the Nutrition Division.

As the Sr. Manager Sales Training, the role will conceive and implement short, medium and long-term knowledge, skill and business process training strategies, in coordination with area sales, marketing and business leaders. Design, develop and deliver training programs to all positions enhancing and impacting the performance of the US commercial organization. Continue to develop, update and maintain the entire training curriculum to address the evolving needs of the commercial organization, including new and pipeline products. Manage the assessment of training effectiveness and take corrective actions to continually improve the quality of training delivered. Identify and deliver training programs addressing the broader needs of the organization with appropriate measures of impact. Execute training programs through delivery of training programs and sales meetings.

Training Tactics: Support internal sales, field sales, marketing and cross-functional partners in identifying and executing existing and new programs to address skills needs.

Knowledge Assessments: Ensure production and prompt execution of testing and assessment of areas for focus in training. Ensure assessments meet corporate and business standards and compliance.

Training Delivery: Lead team that executes training programs and delivers in a virtual, classroom or field-based setting. Where appropriate, utilize global programs and deliver to US markets in entirety, but with special emphasis on areas of need.

Organization Communication: Ensure appropriate information is shared early and often with team participants and stakeholders. Ensure trainers debrief managers responsible for trainees as to performance in virtual, class or field setting.

What You'll Work On

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year training strategy for all parts of the sales organization (both new hires and current employees) including but not limited to knowledge, skills, coaching, business processes and measure the effectiveness of the transfer of knowledge and skills
  • Customize and fully implement fundamental and advanced selling skills training, maintain and expand the Implementation of manager coaching training to ensure knowledge and skill
  • Establish executive management relationships both internal and external to provide added value to training programs and delivery and pull through business and training objectives
  • Assesses on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of materials and training class structure
  • Effectively lead a team of trainer to support the needs of the total Therapeutic Field Sales Force
  • Develop and design sales meetings for the sales force, leaders and special groups as needed
  • Lead developmental programs for District Sales Trainers across the US
  • Work with key stakeholders in Home Office (Columbus, OH) 50-75% of time to conduct in-person meetings
  • Support DVP of Sales, Dir., Sales and Sr. Manager of Sales Ops as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years successful experience in managing people & growing talent
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated superior selling/support skills and product knowledge in previous assignments.
  • Must currently be residing in Columbus, Oh or be open to relocating to Columbus, OH

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-10 years Commercial experience, preferably in ANPD
  • Successful training experience preferred

$129,300.00 - $258,700.00
