Sentry is a leading provider of industrial service and construction in Watertown, SD. The "SD Service" department offers prompt, high-quality projects & services to our customers in the energy, ethanol, agriculture, and public sectors. Our customers rely on us to take their complex problems and deliver a comprehensive solution.


Position Overview:

We are looking for a Sales/Project Manager in our SD Service division with experience in industrial services and construction. This role is all about building & maintaining strong relationships with our clients, driving sales, and managing projects from the onset to completion. The right person for this job can expect to meet with customers on potential projects, provide an estimate, plan, & Scope of Work, and acquire a signed contract. From there, the Sales/Project Manager will coordinate with both the customer and Operations team to ensure the project is seamlessly executed to final completion.


Experience is a bonus, however, it is more important for us to find the "Right Person" for this role and train accordingly.


Our typical customers are ethanol/power plants, grain storage & transfer facilities & cooperatives, other construction & service contractors, and local farmers. Typical project duration is 1-14 days.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales:

- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients.

-Develop and implement sales strategies to grow our industrial and construction business.

- Identify and pursue new clients and business opportunities.

- Create detailed financial estimates of proposed projects.

- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.

- Provide timely responses to customer emails, phone calls, etc.

- Stay informed about market trends and competitors.


Project Management:

- Be the expert resource on the project for both clients and Operations teams

- Oversee planning and execution of industrial service and construction projects.

- Work with teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Manage & understand project financials.

- Manage project timelines and resources effectively.

- Communicate project status to clients and stakeholders.

- Evaluate project outcomes for future improvement.


Qualifications:


- Strong understanding of construction processes, especially industrial environments and steel fabrication & erection.

- Proven ability to meet sales targets.

- Flexible & innovative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment

- Strong project management skills and familiarity with project management tools.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- General knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Dynamics)

- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.

- Familiarity with safety codes & standards.
