SPX Sigma-Omega is a manufacturer of water source heat pumps for the commercial industry.  We sell products through long standing established independent representatives. We produce our industry-standard product offering in our 80,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario which is optimized for quality flexible manufacturing to meet nearly any specification.

Project Manager - Customer Services

The expected salary range for this position is $79,000 - $130,000 CAD per year.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for start to end project ownership from initiation of customer quoting activity to project closure . This includes providing technical product support for the Field Sales and Service organization

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide daily technical customer support to the field installer, mechanical contractors and other technical mechanics via phone or emails
  • Managing communication and workflow between clients and internal teams in timely and customer focused manner
  • Work with sales personal to respond to pre-sales opportunities towards successful project win
  • Identification and management of risks and issues through projects
  • Reconcile each project  net price to purchase order(s)
  • Ownership of change management on the project
  • Some travel to job site is required for start-ups or trouble shooting
  • Clearly understands and administers warranty policies and procedures
  • Assist with the development of service literature and technical bulletins
  • Exercise fiduciary duties in the best financial and legal interest of our company including but not limited to proper documentation, follow-ups, and filing/storage of key information 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Trouble shooting HVAC equipment experience
  • Detailed working knowledge of HVAC refrigeration and heating
  • Knowledge of HVAC industry preferred
  • Experience in customer facing role
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in project management preferred
  • Ability to read drawings (CAD)
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience managing projects
  • MS Office, Excel skills

Education

  • Degree in Business/Technology/Engineering or Equivalent
  • Formal Qualification for PMP is desired
  • Some knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Licensed Gas, HVAC, Propane, refrigerant certification is an asset
