Your role at Clorox:

As the Category Sales Planning Manager in the Cleaning Business Unit (BU) you will partner closely with both internal (BU & cross functional partners) and external (Field Sales & retailers) in delivering both near term and further out (1-3 year) growth plans aligned to BU strategic priorities.
You will work with Sales Planning Director, Sales Planning Associate Director, and cross functional teams to develop sufficient Multi-Year-Plans (MYP), build and deploy annual business plan, and drive share && growth in service of achieving Business Unit KPIs.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive the Business:Contributes to business planning for the Cleaning BU. Works with cross-functional partners and customer/field teams to bring the Sales perspective into the BU. Create and update complex reports for sales planning team, BU projectteamsand customer teams. Create reports that support a broad range of internal stakeholders (Sales Leadership, Business Insights Group, Demand Planning, Analytic Insights, etc.)

  • Customer and Category Support:Provides input intoCleaningbusinessplan, while integrating customer plans asappropriate. Independently gather and interpret data andidentifybusiness drivers and opportunities. Lead sales input process for core business activities including innovation and forecasting.

  • Multi-year Growth Plans:Work w/ cross functional partners for assigned business on Multi-Year-Plan (MYP) sufficiency to build/identify drivers to achieve plan sufficiency. Collaborate with Customer Sales Planning/Field to incorporate MYP into retailer/customer plans.

  • Financial Acumen:Accountable for forecasting Distribution; Velocity; Trade & Shopper Marketing needs for assigned business. Directlyimpactingincr. Net Sales (INCS), Gross Margin, and profit.

  • Net Revenue Management (NRM):Support NRM process with Sales functional input, management of work chartered, and driving execution of full scope NRM plans (e.g.strategic pricing, PPA, etc.)

  • Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste:Usesappropriate tools, processes, resources to support theCleaningorganization. Communicate findings withwidevariety of stakeholders including sales planning teams, internal BU functions, field sales/ customer teams, retailercontactsand Clorox leadership.

  • Culture:Contribute to team culture,Inclusion DiversityEquity &Allyshipand engagement.

  • Engage our People as Business Owners:Coaches,develops, empowers team members asappropriate. Develop individual capabilities to promote growth.

What we look for:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of CPG experience

  • Clorox internal (Sales Planning) or equivalent experience

  • Clorox external (Field/Customer) experience beneficial

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting and budgeting

  • Experience building and deploying GTM strategies and navigating channel conflict dynamics

  • Experience working with cross functional teams fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


-Zone A: $131,200 - $258,500

-Zone B: $120,300 - $237,000

-Zone C: $109,400 - $215,500
