Manager, Sales Performance - Bedding & Product Protection
Drive Field Sales Performance for the #1 Home Furnishings Brand
Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Manager, Sales Performance to serve as a field-facing business partner focused on improving store execution, sales performance, and adoption of Bedding and Product Protection Programs across our retail footprint.
If you're passionate about coaching field leaders, driving metrics, and turning data into action, this role offers the opportunity to directly influence sales outcomes and customer experience at scale.
What You'll Do
As the Sales Performance Manager, you will:
Drive Sales Performance
  • Partner with retail divisions to improve key Bedding & PPP metrics:
    • Attachment rate
    • Close rate
    • Average ticket
    • Overall program adoption (online and in-store)
  • Help stores understand and execute against performance expectations and benchmarks.

Coach Field & Store Leadership
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance support to store and regional leadership teams.
  • Strengthen execution consistency, accountability, and follow-through across assigned markets.

Monitor & Analyze Performance
  • Track store-level sales indicators and execution trends to identify performance gaps.
  • Use data to recommend targeted actions and improvement plans.

Engage the Field
  • Conduct frequent field visits and virtual performance reviews to:
    • Assess execution quality
    • Reinforce priorities
    • Align store-level action plans with business objectives

Reinforce Training & Best Practices
  • Support training reinforcement for sales processes and program expectations.
  • Partner with Training and Operations to ensure:
    • Key messages are reinforced
    • Tools and routines support front-line execution
  • Identify and document best practices and share them across divisions to accelerate performance.

Support Program & Tool Implementation
  • Help implement new sales processes, growth programs, field tools, and performance initiatives.
  • Serve as a bridge between corporate teams and field leadership, escalating barriers and providing field feedback with clear recommendations.

What You'll Need
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Required

Experience
  • 5+ years in retail sales, operations, training, or business development - Required
  • Management experience - Required
  • Bedding or Home Furnishings experience - Preferred

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working with reports and basic data analysis
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with field leaders, vendor partners, and store teams
  • Professional, customer-focused demeanor with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to respond professionally to difficult situations with employees, vendors, and customers
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement is a plus

Travel & Schedule
  • ~75% travel required (field visits to stores/regions)
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary to support field needs, launches, and initiatives
