Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
Founded in 1923, Peerless Pump Company (a Grundfos subsidiary) is a US-based manufacturer of horizontal and vertical centrifugal pumps for fire, industrial, and municipal applications. With pump installations in 145 countries, Peerless is globally recognized for engineering tough, reliable, and versatile pump solutions with extensive flow and pressure capabilities. From our production facilities in Indianapolis and Houston to our service centers in Lubbock and Fresno, Peerless pumps are designed to protect people and property from fire and to bring water where it's needed most. Our product quality is second to none, but it's our people who've made us Peerless for over 100 years. Our legacy of innovation is fueled by attracting, training, and retaining employees from diverse backgrounds. With competitive benefits and a strong emphasis on development, growth, and innovation, Peerless employees come seeking a job but stay to build a career.
As our new Configuration Engineer for Peerless Pump, you will be designing and processing customer orders by configuring bills of materials, managing SAP configurations, and building complete production packages that ensure every pump order meets exact specifications.
You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.
What you will be doing
As a key part of the Order Engineering team, you'll create impact by ensuring every customer order is accurately configured and documented, directly enabling on-time delivery of reliable Grundfos pump solutions worldwide.

  • Configure and create bills of materials in SAP using standardized design calculations and engineering tools for the product line.
  • Build complete production packages for manufacturing including product-specific instructions, shop documentation, and purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate with sales, application engineering, and design engineering to clarify deviations, resolve product limitations, and address commercial liabilities.
  • Create and maintain Material Masters, drawing revisions, and part attribute data through the engineering change process in SAP.
  • Review CRM inquiries and initiate order processing requests for pump orders, new materials, and engineering support.

What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a detail-oriented technical professional with strong critical reasoning skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to bridge communication between engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams. We would also imagine that you have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in order processing, design, or applications.
  • Data entry experience with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficiency with standard MS Office programs.

It is a plus if you also have:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with pump or rotating equipment product configuration.
  • Knowledge of SAP CRM and material master data management.

Why you will love working here
We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community.
  • Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programmes to pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

We are inclusive! Celebrating and valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
