Job Summary:

The Industrial Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales, promoting technical products and services to industrial clients. This role combines technical knowledge with sales and consultative skills to provide advice and support on a range of products, for which a certain level of expertise is needed. The Industrial Sales Engineer will work closely with the engineering, production, and marketing teams to identify client needs, provide solutions, and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

● Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial sector.

● Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.

● Present and demonstrate products to clients, highlighting their technical features and benefits.

● Prepare and deliver technical presentations and sales proposals.

● Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets.

● Training and Development of Sales teams in product knowledge and applications of products.

Technical Support and Consultation

● Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.

● Assist customers in selecting the best products and solutions to meet their needs.

● Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product performance.

● Conduct product training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.

Market Research and Analysis

● Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the industrial sector.

● Analyze competitor products and strategies to inform sales tactics.

● Provide feedback to the product development team regarding customer needs and market demand.

Collaboration and Coordination

● Collaborate with engineering, operations and sales teams to ensure products meet client specifications and quality standards.

● Attend or complete online and Factory training as necessary

Reporting and Documentation

● Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and technical issues.

● Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.

● Use CRM software to manage client relationships and track sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or a similar technical discipline.

● Proven experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the industrial sector.

● Strong understanding of industrial products and their applications.

  • 5 to 10 years of designing air systems
