Description:

The Operations Manager at Tikra Roofing is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all commercial roofing projects from pre-construction to closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in managing teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring job profitability, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and manage multiple commercial roofing projects simultaneously.
  • Review scopes of work, contracts, permits, and job specs before project launch.
  • Coordinate with estimators, superintendents, and subcontractors to schedule labor and materials.
  • Ensure projects stay within budget and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee quality, compliance, and progress.
  • Supervise project managers, foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Lead daily/weekly operational meetings to align teams and resolve issues.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Foster a safety-first culture and ensure all team members follow OSHA and company guidelines.
  • Monitor job costing, margins, and profitability in real-time.
  • Approve project expenses and track change orders.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely billing, collections, and job closeouts.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews of performance metrics and financial KPIs.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
  • Address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Attend client meetings and job walks as needed.
  • Improve operational workflows and enforce company standards.
  • Maintain job documentation, permits, warranties, safety logs, and daily reports.
  • Ensure all projects meet code requirements and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in roofing or construction operations, preferably in commercial roofing.
  • Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Proven experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
