Job Description Summary

Position Objective:
The General Manager, Manufacturing oversees all aspects of manufacturing processes to ensure proven product functionality with a sustainable return on investment (ROI). The General Manager Manufacturing manages subordinate staff and coordinates with remote departments that are responsible for engineering development and manufacturing engineering. This candidate must have proven supervisory and technical skills, and an appreciation for the complex nature of the rental HVAC industry. Personal skills that will be required include exceptional business foresight, superlative communication skills, working knowledge of several engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another, and an aptitude for managing risk.

Position Responsibilities:
Develops and promotes a "Zero Harm Safety Culture" leveraging Sunbelt's Engage for Life Safety programs, fine tuning safety policy as it relates to manufacturing operations
Has overall financial responsibility of local manufacturing operation, inventory, budgeting, cost controls, capital equipment acquisition and manufacturing facilities
In partnership with senior management, develops and implements manufacturing plans support growth, safety and manufacturing efficiencies
Develops the manufacturing management team, inspiring leadership through empowerment, coaching and accountability
Develops manufacturing forecast and roughcut capacity plans
Communicates with fleet planning, coordinating changing priorities and product deliveries
Utilizes proven continuous improvement strategies to refine manufacturing processes and products, that minimize scrap, reduce rework & line failures and has emphasis on building the highest quality equipment at the lowest costs
Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards
Ensures production facility adheres to all local, national laws, including labor and environmental
Develops long-term strategic initiatives for manufacturing operations
Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency


Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Degree in Business Administration or a related field
5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operation (metal fabrication & production assembly environments experience preferred)
Possesses knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and systems, engineering systems, and product inventory management, manufacturing accounting and ERP systems
Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
Leadership skills necessary to manage several experienced and driven teams, including proven supervisory and technical skills
Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader

Base Pay Range: $108,430.00 - 149,091.80
