Job description

Commercial Roofing Operations Manager

Location: North Dallas–Fort Worth, TX | Local Candidates Only
Base Salary: $125,000 + Strong Incentive Package

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to lead field operations for a growing commercial roofing operation in the North Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing project execution, field teams, financial performance, and operational accountability.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who genuinely enjoys training, mentoring, and developing others while maintaining a firm understanding of project financials and overall branch performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day commercial roofing field operations, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, crews, and subcontractors.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentorship to operational and field teams.
  • Oversee project performance from handoff through completion, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and profitability expectations.
  • Manage and review project financials, budgets, labor costs, margins, and estimated cost to completion (EAC/ETC).
  • Conduct regular project reviews to identify cost overruns, schedule concerns, production issues, and potential risks.
  • Hold Project Managers and field leadership accountable for project performance and financial results.
  • Partner with estimating, sales, safety, and executive leadership to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist with manpower planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
  • Develop and implement operational processes that improve efficiency, profitability, and communication.
  • Build a strong culture centered around accountability, teamwork, safety, employee development, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of commercial roofing experience, with progressive leadership responsibility preferred.
  • Strong background in commercial roofing operations, production, and project management.
  • Experience overseeing multiple Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, budgets, job costing, margins, and estimated cost to completion.
  • Knowledge of major commercial roofing systems including TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, and metal.
  • Proven ability to develop, mentor, and hold teams accountable.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance field operations with the financial and strategic side of the business.
  • Must currently reside in the North Dallas–Fort Worth area. Relocation is not available for this position.

Compensation

$125,000 base salary + a strong performance-based incentive package, along with a competitive benefits package.
