General Manager - Roofing & Field Operations

Cleveland, OH • On-site

$80K - $100K/yr

Full-time

Job description

OHIO | FULL-TIME | W-2 | COMPENSATION: $80,000- $100,000 Base Salary + Performance-Based CompensationPosition Overview

We are looking for an experienced, driven General Manager to lead and grow an established field-service operation in Ohio.

This is not a position for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We are looking for a proven leader who knows roofing, understands sales, can manage people, and has the drive to build something exceptional.

Our company is an established national chimney-services organization with a strong marketing and office infrastructure already in place. We have built a proven business and are now expanding our services, including roofing, to create year-round growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will have responsibility for the overall performance and growth of the Ohio market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the field operation and team.
  • Drive revenue and profitability across chimney and roofing services.
  • Lead sales efforts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Oversee roofing projects, production, and field operations.
  • Manage and motivate project managers, technicians, installers, and other field personnel.
  • Identify operational problems before they become expensive problems.
  • Hold the team accountable to performance standards and KPIs.
  • Build and improve processes as the market grows.
  • Work closely with the company's corporate office, marketing, and administrative teams.
  • Help launch and grow the roofing division, including building the appropriate team and infrastructure.
  • Step into whatever role is necessary while the market continues to grow, then build the team around you.
  • Take ownership of the market and turn the company's vision into measurable results.
Qualifications

This role requires more than sales experience.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Significant experience in the roofing industry.
  • Experience in roofing sales and project management.
  • Experience leading and managing a sales or field team.
  • Strong understanding of job-site operations, production, and profitability.
  • Proven ability to recruit, motivate, manage, and hold people accountable.
  • Strong sales instincts and a genuine passion for winning.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both customers and field employees.
  • Strong business judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • High energy, initiative, and personal accountability.
  • The ability to be both firm and personable when leading people.
  • A builder's mindset and the ability to see opportunities others may overlook.

We are looking for someone who has been in the field—not someone who has only sold roofing for a short period of time.

What We Offer

The infrastructure is already here.

You will have the support of an established corporate team, marketing operation, and office infrastructure. The company is already generating business and has an established customer base.

Your job is to take the opportunities coming through the door and turn them into profitable, growing operations.

This position offers significant earning potential tied directly to performance and growth.

The goal is not simply to manage a location.

The goal is to build it.

For the right person, this can be a major career and financial opportunity.

The company has a track record of developing people internally and creating significant opportunities for high performers. Current leaders who started in technical roles have grown into highly successful management and ownership positions.

Our Culture

We believe in one simple principle:

Make the Impossible Possible.

We are raising the standard in the industry and looking for people who want to be part of that mission.

We work hard, move quickly, solve problems, and expect our leaders to take ownership.

If you see a problem, you don't wait for someone else to fix it.

If you see an opportunity, you pursue it.

If the goal seems impossible, you find a way to make it happen.

Ready to Take the Lead?

If you have the roofing experience, leadership skills, and drive to grow a market, we want to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step toward building something bigger.
