Job Description

As a Roofing Apprentice, you will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems under the guidance of experienced roofing technicians. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in the roofing trade. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilitiesโ€ฏ

1. Roofing Installation and Repair:

  • Support the installation and repair of commercial roofing systems, including tile, foam, hot, built-up, and single-ply roofing (TPO, PVC, EPDM).
  • Help prepare the work area by removing debris, old roofing materials, and cleaning the roof surface.โ€ฏ
  • Assist in the application of roofing materials such as insulation, membranes, flashings, and shingles, under the direction of senior crew members.
  • Participate in waterproofing and sealing tasks to protect the integrity of the roofing system.

2. Safety and Worksite Maintenance:โ€ฏ

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.โ€ฏ
  • Follow industry best practices and company standards to deliver high-quality roofing installations and repairs.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Alert supervisors to any hazards or safety concerns immediately.โ€ฏ
  • Comply withโ€ฏcompany safety policies and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
