Job description

WE’RE HIRING: SERVICE TECHNICIAN / PROJECT SUPERVISOR

Lakeside Roofing Solutions | West Michigan

Not looking for a laborer.

Not looking for someone who needs babysitting.

We’re looking for a field leader who can diagnose, solve problems, and run jobs the right way.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Handle commercial roof leak calls & repairs (TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, coatings)
  • Diagnose issues quickly and fix them right the first time
  • Oversee small-to-mid-sized projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate crews, materials, and timelines
  • Communicate with property managers, building owners, and our internal team
  • Document work with photos, reports, and recommendations

THIS ROLE IS FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Can climb a roof and also lead a job
  • Takes ownership—no excuses, just solutions
  • Understands commercial roofing systems (or can learn fast)
  • Is organized, dependable, and communicates clearly
  • Wants to grow into a key leader in a strong company

WHAT YOU GET:

  • Strong hourly pay or salary (based on experience)
  • Bonus opportunities tied to performance
  • Company truck + fuel
  • Health insurance
  • Year-round, steady work (not seasonal layoffs)
  • Work for a company that does quality work—not patch jobs that fail in 6 months

WHY LAKESIDE:

  • 20+ years of experience
  • 24/7 service operation (we stay busy)
  • Lifetime workmanship warranty mindset
  • High standards, strong reputation
  • We fix problems others can’t

THIS IS NOT FOR:

  • Someone who needs constant direction
  • Someone who cuts corners
  • Someone who just wants to “punch a clock”
Compensation:

$70,000

Responsibilities:
  • Remove debris from roofs and gutters
  • Track and maintain inventory of roofing materials
  • Review and understand blueprints
  • Fix and restore broken sheet metal, shingles, and other roofing materials
  • Use power and hand tools to measure and cut materials

Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Driver’s license required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Great balance, and ability to lift heavy materials and tools is required
  • We require candidates to complete a roofing apprenticeship

  • Must know low slope roof systems
  • Must know how to identify roof leaks and how to solve them
  • Must be a proficient hand welder
