Breedr, a recently funded Series A Agtech start-up based in Austin, Texas is looking for a Finance Manager.Our Precision Beef Network is bringing livestock trading into the digital age with an easy-to-use app that enables beef ranchers to build better beef, join premium supply chains and finance faster. We're building technology that connects farmers, processors and food retailers to deliver supply chain transparency, traceability and improvements in the economic and environmental impacts of livestock production.

Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Manager to help us manage the day-to-day finance function of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, monthly reporting, tax reporting and preparation of budgets. The role will also require you to create and maintain financial models and forecasts to empower the senior leadership team to make informed decisions..

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring company bank accounts to reconcile cash receipts with trades through Breedr's on-line Marketplace and send invoices and remittances on a timely basis always ensuring safe custody of customer remittances
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and statements
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and budgets
  • Monitor the cash flow of the company to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet cash flow needs
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for the company (Monthly and Quarterly)
  • Developing and updating as required the company's 5 year financial plan to support valuation metrics and fund raising

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Recently qualified CAA or CPA
  • Proficient in excel (comfortable with vlookups, if statements, ranges, pivot tables and other general formulas)
  • Proven experience with Xero accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
