Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Finance functional teams and leaders to identify, develop and articulate business requirements and champion development of system solutions and functional improvements within all areas of Accounting and Finance
  • Engage, manage and develop a virtual team of Subject Matter Experts and Business Process Analysts across the various functional areas of Accounting and Finance
  • Lead discovery sessions to document processes and create, implement and support "to be" cross-functional business processes and tools to support strategic initiatives and Finance functional goals.
  • Be the single point of contact for Finance to IT project team responsible for global retail platform implementation. Identify root cause of problems; propose, prioritize and enable solutions.
  • Drive prioritization and completion of project deliverables. Develop work plans and coordinate and direct Finance/Accounting teams to support design, testing, realization, and go-live activities for each major release.
  • Regularly communicate project plans, activities, scope, resource needs, issues, key decisions and status to Finance stakeholders and project management.
  • Influence business teams and IT project resources and stakeholders to define and deliver project scope within established timelines.
  • Approve global retail platform retail Finance business decisions and project deliverables such as requirements, key designs, test plans, test results, and standard operating procedures. Engages with relevant Accounting/Finance functional and regional managers and leaders for these approvals.
  • Develop, review and update business process maps and development/enhancement requests.
  • Drive understanding and consensus of new processes and best practices to both the business and IT partners. Ensure alignment of the team as well as the user community with the vision of "best practice" and global standard DTC finance processes, while assessing customer individual needs, meeting commitments and building internal and external partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business leaders and project stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and coaching to team members by outlining the vision and direction for the organization as a whole and the team specifically
