Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is excited to partner with Honda to identify top HBCU talent for the 2026 Honda Immersion Program, taking place July 20-23, 2026, in Marysville, Ohio. Honda is a forward-thinking company with a bold vision for 2030 and beyond. They seek students with unique skills, courage, persistence, and ambition, Individuals who bring diverse perspectives, drive innovation, and help shape the future of mobility and manufacturing. Through this exclusive partnership, 30 highly qualified students will be selected to participate in a career-defining immersion experience designed to provide behind-the-scenes access to Honda's operations, culture, and opportunities.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities & Program Experience
This immersion is more than a visit, it serves as a strategic gateway to Honda's Co-op, Internship, and future full-time opportunities. Participants gain access to paid professional development and networking experiences, while also engaging in meaningful, department-focused work from day one. Honda Co-ops and Interns contribute to real projects aligned with current business needs, no coffee runs or administrative tasks. Projects may include:
1. Honda Co-op & Internship Experience
  • Developing new tests or systems
  • Designing innovative solutions
  • Traveling to suppliers
  • Serving as a project manager on active initiatives

2. Engage in Department-Focused Projects
  • Work on real, impactful projects aligned with your career track (Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or IT Business).
  • Tasks may include developing new tests or systems, designing solutions to business challenges, traveling to suppliers, or managing project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to ongoing operations and innovation.

Qualifications & RequirementsEligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Rising Sophomores (Class of 2029) and Rising Juniors (Class of 2028)
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited HBCU (TMCF member and non-member institutions)
  • Demonstrated interest in Summer 2027 Co-op or Internship opportunities
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to secure reliable transportation to and from work each day

Please note: Public transportation and ride-share services are limited at some Honda locations. Co-ops and Interns are responsible for their own daily transportation. Regular in-person attendance is required, and transportation-related challenges will not be considered excusable.
