As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and staff through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, assist with access control practices, and observe customer and employee activity for security-related concerns.
  • Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and directional support during busy periods, special events, store openings and closings, and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
