Job description

Scouting America is seeking a data-driven Business Analyst to support Retail and Marketplace operations through advanced analytics, reporting, platform execution and strategic insights. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth on our marketplaces, operational efficiency, and brand compliance.
While the primary focus is business analytics and performance reporting, this role will also support end-to-end Amazon marketplace performance, marketing and compliance initiatives as part of Scouting America's marketplace growth strategy.
Job Functions:Business Analytics & Reporting
  • Analyze retail and marketplace performance data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Develop dashboards and executive-level reports using BI tools e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel with high proficiency in all Microsoft applications
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology solutions
  • Support forecasting, revenue modeling, inventory analysis, and royalty reporting
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and automate reporting workflows
  • Conduct workflow analysis and recommend system or operational improvements
  • Assist in documentation of business processes and support system enhancement initiatives
Marketplace & Amazon
  • Support analysis of Amazon Seller Central performance including sales trends, inventory health, and operational KPIs
  • Monitor FBA inventory metrics, sell-through rates, and performance drivers
  • Assist in identifying product performance gaps and optimization opportunities
  • Support reporting related to marketplace compliance, IP protection, and royalty accuracy
  • Collaborate with Retail and Licensing teams to ensure accurate marketplace data and performance visibility
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or retail analytics
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience with project leadership and associated software applications to track, monitor and produce on time deliverables
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and present findings to leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Amazon Seller Central or marketplace analytics
  • Experience with ecommerce digital marketing execution
  • Knowledge of retail, inventory management, or licensing operations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT and business stakeholders
