Job description

Restaurant Depot is the leading wholesale distributor of food, equipment and supplies to independent grocery retailers and foodservice operators across the United States. The company operates two different warehouse formats, Restaurant Depot and Jetro Cash & Carry. We operate 143 locations in 34 states.

We seek a highly motivated, technically proficient and business savvy Pricing Analyst for our Purchasing team. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects that have far reaching implications for all stakeholders across our organization.


We’ll trust you to:

  1. Create processes and methods to gather, analyze, monitor and report on purchasing data
  2. Analyze product and vendor data to identify opportunities for cost savings in our supply chain and suggest cost effective and practical improvements
  3. Measure performance against targets / benchmarks for various activities & services
  4. Help in identifying alternative products and cost savings opportunities – recommend solutions and present results in meaningful terms by telling stories with data
  5. Coordinate and work with across functions to investigate and analyze optimum procurement strategies for our organization
  6. Demonstrate cost saving initiatives to improve the operational and cost performance of our transportation models
  7. Gather and identify opportunities for process optimization
  8. Standardize inputs and outputs to frequent reports to increase overall efficiency of the departments
  9. Prepare, present and analyze daily, weekly and monthly reports around key metrics
  10. Conceive of new ideas and projects to improve the performance of the department

You’ll need to have:

  1. Experience as a Financial, Business, Data or Supply Chain Analyst or a similar role
  2. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  3. BA/BS Degree required; Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent preferred
  4. Experience building SOPs, coordinating and communicating across different functions in the organization
  5. Experience in financial (or other quantitative) reporting including development and maintenance of reports
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills


We’d love to see:

  1. Working knowledge of VBA and/or Python is a plus
  2. Data cleaning experience will be helpful
  3. Basic knowledge of relational databases
  4. Exposure to basic accounting functions and terminology
