About the team and position
Reporting to the Brand Manager, Social Content & Reputation Management, the Social Media Specialist holds a pivotal role in building Carvana's presence across social media platforms. This role collaborates with Carvana's in-house Design Team, Creative Team, Activations Team, Partnerships Team and Production Team. This position spearheads the planning, development, execution, publishing, and analytical assessment of social content initiatives for assigned social channels, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit & YouTube. The Social Media Specialist will help plan and develop purpose-driven content by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of the brand, business objectives, the product (Carvana.com), customers, industry best practices, social trends and culture.
Work Location
This role is located at our Corporate HQ in Tempe, AZ and is performed on-site, 5 days a week.
What you'll do
  • Manage the day-to-day social content process including:
  • Develop and share weekly/monthly content calendars for assigned content
  • Writing or providing input on creative briefs and partnering with Creative, Design, and Production teams to develop assets for compelling and visually appealing content through static images and videos
  • Provide feedback to creative/design teams to ensure alignment with Carvana's tone/voice, business objectives, and social best practices
  • Scheduling and publishing content across different social media channels using Sprout Social as well as managing collab posts with partners
  • Analyze content performance to develop insights and recommendations for future content development and scheduling - shared out in monthly and quarterly recaps
  • Identify UGC opportunities and work to secure permission to use in future content
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Carvana Brand and Carvana's customer base to inform content strategy and direction
  • Work closely with the Carvana Customer Experience team to manage the brand's reputation including monitoring social channels for customer complaints
  • Work closely with the Partnerships team to help develop social content for our Carvana Racing channels + other partners
  • Seek out social content creative inspiration to share with the larger Brand Team

What you should have
  • 3+ years managing social content programs and platforms or relevant content marketing experience
  • Experience using social content publishing and analytics tools such as Sprout, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot when needed
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Editing skill in apps like CapCut or in app editing is a nice to have
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
