Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn't just the Best Place to Play - it's also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we're part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Technical Program Management, Platform & Studio Relations

Location: Remote in US
Department: Studio Business Group, Development Strategy

Role Overview

At PlayStation Studios, we're committed to delivering world-class gaming experiences. As the person leading Technical Program Management - Platform & Studios Relations, you will play a pivotal role in aligning our first-party studios with PlayStation's future platform and network services ecosystem.

We start from strategical planning to set goals and find out the best approach to get there. Then we initiate a program, reach out to first-party studio and platform side leadership to share the plan and head towards our common goal. You will be assigned to multiple studios and/or programs.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, development, and platform strategy - ensuring that our first-party games are fully aligned with platform capabilities and services, and that both Studio and platform teams are equipped with the right insights, timelines, and context needed to move forward together to achieve the goal.

You will own and drive cross-functional programs with significant visibility and autonomy. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role that actively shapes solutions, fosters alignment, and ensures progress.

The ideal candidate is a natural connector, capable of operating across technical, creative, and executive audiences, and thrives in environments where accountability and initiative are rewarded. Together with the platform business, we aim to deliver PlayStation's best console launch to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead key planning, execution, and communication efforts across complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clarity of goals, progress, and dependencies.

  • Develop crisp, tailored communications and presentation materials for multiple stakeholder levels, from studio teams to SIE senior leadership.

  • Identify and address gaps in planning, support, or execution across programs, proactively driving resolution and ensuring delivery against timelines.

  • Cross studio progress tracking for responsible initiatives with high visibility

  • Asset management of hardware that are allocated to studios

  • Program disclosure operation

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, production, or platform operations, ideally within games, tech, or interactive entertainment.

  • Strong grasp of the game development lifecycle and platform and services technology ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated success owning and driving large-scale, cross-functional programs with autonomy and impact.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills - able to present complex topics clearly to a variety of audiences.

  • High stakeholder management skills; able to influence without authority and maintain alignment across dispersed teams.

  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and complexity; brings structure where needed without stifling creativity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with PlayStation platform tools, SDKs, APIs, and services.

  • Previous experience working in or closely with AAA game development studios.

  • Experience operating in large, matrixed organizations.

  • Proficiency with program management tools and best practises

  • Passion for video games and entertainment

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
In addition, this role is eligible for SIE's top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. This role also may be eligible for a bonus package. Clickhere to learn more.
