• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients’ trauma histories and assess their unique treatment needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience through structured goal setting and progress evaluations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient healing.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for clients to process trauma and learn effective coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care that addresses psychological, physical, and social aspects of health.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of available resources and support options.
• Maintain strict adherence to ethical and legal documentation standards, ensuring accurate and confidential patient records.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions focused on trauma-informed care best practices.
• Keep abreast of the latest research, methodologies, and innovations in trauma therapy to provide the highest quality care.

As a licensed mental health therapist, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a vital role in helping clients navigate their recovery journey, focusing on trauma resilience and personal growth in a supportive therapeutic environment.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from a reputable, accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and client-centered approach.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively while maintaining emotional composure.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working harmoniously as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, where you have successfully provided trauma-informed care.
• Experience in leading group therapy sessions and engaging clients in comprehensive treatment strategies.
