Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into patients' trauma histories and formulate suitable treatment plans.
• Develop customized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, resilience enhancement, and the application of evidence-based practices.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions deploying modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms to promote understanding and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care for patients, optimizing treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance for patients in distress.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines to safeguard patient information.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying abreast of the latest research and innovative practices related to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other distressing life events. You will have the unique opportunity to play a critical role in their healing journey, utilizing trauma-informed practices to help them navigate their recovery process and cultivate coping strategies that empower and stabilize their mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor essential for building rapport with patients.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma recovery.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that promote healing and resilience.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide clear support during high-stress situations, adapting to the clinical demands of the moment.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and improve patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
