• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and tailor appropriate therapeutic approaches.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience strategies, focusing on the unique needs of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and processing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage clients to express their feelings, learn coping mechanisms, and promote emotional well-being.
• Engage in collaborative case management with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic, integrated care for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during acute trauma-related situations and offer immediate assistance and guidance.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma reactions, coping strategies, and community resources available for additional support.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed about advances in trauma therapy through ongoing education and review of current literature and best practices.

As a member of our team, you will work with a diverse array of clients, primarily focusing on individuals who have experienced trauma. • Mental health professionals must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is required for consideration.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-informed care, is essential for success in this role.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment methodologies, and resilience-building techniques is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a compassionate demeanor are vital for establishing rapport with clients.
