Rather than meeting clients face-to-face in a traditional brick-and-mortar storefront or traveling for outside sales, they manage the entire customer journey from a remote environment, utilizing digital communication tools and web platforms. They are responsible for guiding prospects through the online sales funnel, nurturing client relationships, and successfully meeting revenue quotas.

Online sales representatives perform all the revenue-driving tasks of a traditional salesperson, but they execute them virtually: [1]


  • Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: They use live video conferencing tools to deliver personalized presentations, showcase product features, and overcome objections.
  • Customer Engagement: They handle incoming digital inquiries via live chat,answer customer questions and assist with the purchasing process.
  • Pipeline Management: They track lead interactions, forecast sales performance, and log data in to Customers exel sheet for later  use. Ensure a healthy flow of business.

Not required but a plus

  • Digital Communication: This relays heavily on text and video, you need exceptional written communication skills and the ability to build quick rapport over virtual channels.
  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with digital tools and online platforms is a plus
  • Self-Motivation: Because you will be eventually operating from your home, the environment requires high personal discipline, time management, and the ability to work independently.
