Job description

Aon is looking for a Senior Consultant – Workforce Strategy (Virtual)

This role sits on the Workforce Strategy team within Aon’s Transformation and Workforce Innovation practice, part of our broader Human Capital Solutions business. You will lead client engagements that combine workforce analytics with strategic workforce planning and organizational design, translating complex data into compelling, decision-ready stories for senior stakeholders. You'll also help shape proposals, mentor consultants, and build Aon's intellectual property.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and project-manage workforce analytics and workforce strategy engagements (e.g., strategic workforce planning, organisation design, predictive analytics)
  • Define workforce strategies that balance demand, capacity, skills, and cost against client business objectives
  • Apply consulting skills and analytics expertise to advise clients on interpreting and acting on findings
  • Use data visualisation to surface insights and communicate key findings clearly to clients and colleagues
  • Translate complex quantitative analyses into precise, actionable recommendations for executive audiences
  • Lead proposal writing and business development conversations with current and prospective clients
  • Contribute to Aon's intellectual capital, white papers, and webinars, mentor junior team members

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, HR, I/O Psychology, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of consulting or people analytics experience, including client leadership
  • Excellent verbal, written, and executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Creative problem-solver with a passion for data-driven business impact
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with rigor under deadline pressure

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience with pay equity, strategic workforce planning, location strategy, org design, ESG, or DEI
  • Familiarity with large-scale workforce data and forecasting/capacity modelling
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or PowerPoint
  • 2+ years consulting to financial services or other complex industries

Pay Transparency Laws: 

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $104,000 to $135,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.  The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
