Job description

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as a Senior Business Analyst within our Referral Management and Analytics service line.

Job Summary
Senior Business Analysts assume a lead role in managing regular and strategic client activities and managing director and manager level client relationships. They lead and project manage client projects and strategic recommendations to help manage, enhance, and grow designated hospital business units. They are expected to have strong communication skills with the ability to deliver work product and presentations to the client. A significant foundation of business acumen, logic, and strategic business thinking is necessary. Senior Business Analyst are responsible for managing business unit reporting, providing project management leadership, and coordinating communication with clients. They manage, compile, and report statistical and financial information monthly or as needed using databases, Excel, and custom made tools. As needed, they provide training to entry level Business Analysts and at times will oversee work product and activity of others. Written and verbal summaries of reports and progress to client leadership teams are required. Senior Business Analysts manage a broad range of projects, tasks, and timelines for clients, which can include operational, analytical, financial, or marketing related initiatives. They also coordinate client communication and meetings, including setting, managing, and leading meetings, topics, and plans. In addition, they are expected to monitor clients’ local market intelligence and have a strong understanding of industry, policy, and business trends that will impact clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support
• Service existing client-base in order to maximize client satisfaction through providing value enhancing ideas, improvements, and business tools.
• Build and maintain client relationships, responsible for manager and director client relationships.
• Responsible for data flows and reports by providing monthly, quarterly, annual, and renewal performance reports. If data is managed by Associate, Senior Associate is responsible for reviewing all reports for accuracy.
• Heavy use of Excel and databases to manage and report statistics and data.
• Collect competitive market information through information gathering and ghost calling.
• Develop client tools that facilitate improved operations, tracking metrics, or supports’ client customers.
• Provide financial and statistical support on strategic projects.
• Work closely with engagement sales rep to analyze market feedback to inform initiatives and client action plan.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction through supporting the Analytics team or communicating directly with clients.
• Support or lead business development projects.
• Identify business development opportunities with existing clients.
• Investigate and analyze potential markets based on appropriateness criteria.
• Develop business and educational material (e.g. White Papers)

Teamwork and Cooperation
• Conduct company-wide information sharing activities to leverage best-practices.
• Consistently report client information to Director of Strategy amp; Analytics and client partner sponsor.
• Report on activity level and outcomes of activities and initiatives on a regular basis focusing on value creation and problem resolution.
• Provide support in driving value creating projects to completion.
• Positive representation and support of company
• Awareness of importance of company objectives

Role and Skill Requirements
• Meaningful experience in using Excel and/or database tools such as Access
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and manage tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possess critical thinking skills to problem solve and develop long term strategic plans
• Significant understanding of finance amp; accounting principles and financial statements
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of different hospital systems
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Windows and Exchange email required.

  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally, as well as to interact in a professional manner with colleagues, public, and client’s staff members.
