Responsibilities
Our bookkeepers are responsible for managing daily accounting needs for our clients, assisting them in bringing their accounts up to date for previous years, and resolving any issues that may arise in their books.
Essential Functions:
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements for accounting clients
- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Follow up with clients to gather missing data
- Assist with preparing and processing payroll
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns
- Assist CPA partners in preparing books for business tax returns
- Oversee implementation of policy and procedures
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- At least 1 to 2 years of expereince
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a minimum of an associate's degree in accounting
- QuickBooks Online Level 1 and 2 Certified required
- Tech-savvy and willing to learn how to use G-Suite, OneDrive, Excel, ADP, Gusto, and Paychex
- Ability to organize data and prepare accurate financial statements
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
- Experience working with companies and accounting firms in a remote setting

Candidates will need to provide at least one client reference, preferably from an accounting firm with which they have previously worked. The chosen candidate will need to pass a background check.
Candidate must be based in Utah and be able to meet in person for an interview and other potential work meetings in downtown Salt Lake City.
