About the Role
We are seeking a detail oriented
Payroll Administrator to support our automotive dealership by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role is essential to maintaining compliance, supporting department leaders, and delivering a smooth payroll experience for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll for all dealership departments
- Review and verify time cards, commissions, bonuses, spiffs, and technician flag hours
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes
- Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour regulations
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Partner with HR and department managers to ensure accurate labor reporting
- Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, and required deductions
- Prepare payroll related reports for accounting and leadership
- Support year end processes including W2s and audits
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information
Qualifications
- Previous payroll experience required; automotive dealership experience preferred
- Knowledge of dealership pay plans (commission, flat rate, hourly, salary)
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar
- Strong understanding of wage and hour laws
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
