We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Dutchess Psychotherapy Services. This is a remote position, offering flexibility in a contemporary therapy setting, while also allowing regular collaboration with on-site staff. Our outpatient office serves as a hub for counseling sessions that encompass individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling. You will have the advantage of accessing resources and support from colleagues, combining remote work capabilities with the benefits of direct interaction in our office as needed.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' emotional and psychological states, focusing on the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate treatment.
• Educate and empower clients and their families with information on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor, track, and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, fostering a holistic approach to treatment.
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mood disorders to refine and enhance treatment strategies.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, and trauma. Our practice is committed to ensuring a safe space for all clients, promoting understanding and support tailored to their unique situations.

• A current and valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in California.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate the establishment of a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• A compassionate and nonjudgmental demeanor, fostering an environment of support and empathy.

• Experience in working with mood disorders and an understanding of evidence-based therapeutic methodologies.
• Previous practice in a private therapy setting is an advantage but not mandatory.

The starting salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year, complemented by performance bonuses.
