Overview
Benepass is hiring our first Manager, Proposals & Content Operations to build and own our end-to-end RFP and proposal function. As we continue to scale upmarket and increase deal complexity, this role will define the systems, content foundation, and processes that enable high-quality, consistent, and efficient responses across the business. This is a zero-to-one role with significant ownership, partnering closely with Sales, Strategic Alliances, and Product Marketing to improve win rates, reduce sales burden, and elevate how we show up in competitive enterprise opportunities. A key part of this role will be leveraging AI and automation to scale output and continuously improve quality.
Role and Responsibilities
Proposal & RFP Ownership
  • Own the end-to-end proposal and RFP process from intake through submission and follow-up
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across Sales, Strategic Alliances, Solutions Consulting, Product, Product Marketing and other stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality responses
  • Establish clear timelines, roles, and SLAs to bring structure and predictability to the process
Content Strategy & Library Management
  • Build and maintain a centralized content library, ensuring responses are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned to Benepass's positioning
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing to refine messaging based on RFP trends, buyer feedback, and competitive insights
  • Continuously improve core materials including standard responses, executive summaries, and proposal templates
Quality, Writing & Customization
  • Draft, edit, and QA proposal responses with a focus on clarity, differentiation, and alignment to client needs
  • Tailor responses for enterprise and strategic accounts, balancing customization with scalability
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across all submissions
Systems, Tooling & AI Enablement
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate drafting, improve response quality, and enforce consistency in tone and messaging
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline the proposal workflow, reducing manual effort and increasing throughput
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage proposal tools and systems that support scale
  • Continuously test and refine workflows to improve efficiency without compromising quality
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with subject matter experts across departments to gather inputs and align on strategy for key opportunities
  • Act as a central point of coordination across teams involved in proposal development
  • Provide feedback to internal stakeholders based on RFP insights to improve positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
  • Track proposal activity, turnaround times, and outcomes to identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze trends in RFPs, including common questions, objections, and competitive dynamics
  • Use insights to improve win rates, refine content, and inform broader GTM strategy
  • Lead process and content optimization initiatives during lower-volume periods
Requirements
  • 6-8+ years in proposal management within a B2B / enterprise sales environment
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end RFP processes, including cross-functional coordination and deadline management
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value in enterprise proposals
  • Experience building or managing a content library, with a focus on reusability and consistency
  • Experience using AI tools to improve writing quality, speed, and workflow efficiency
  • Systems-oriented mindset, with the ability to create structure in ambiguous, high-growth environments
Compensation
  • Base salary of $140,000 to $160,000 + equity.

Range(s) is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including market comparables, interview performance, peer compensation, and years of experience.
