We're looking for an Account Executive to support the execution and day-to-day management of client accounts, contributing to media relations, strategic communications, and account operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring client programs run smoothly by supporting account teams, coordinating media outreach, maintaining accurate reporting, and delivering high-quality communications materials.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary support for assigned client accounts. Work to develop into a stronger team role, eventually serving as a client lead
  • Gain experience in client relations, strategydevelopment,and execution. Have a general understanding of clients' internal business,competitorsand industry
  • Learn marketing and delegation skills through development of interns
  • Conduct media relations outreach in coordination with clients' PR goals, targeting national, local and trade print,broadcastand online outlets
  • Develop media relations materials such as pitches, media advisories and talk points
  • Secure and coordinate media interviews, successfullyfacilitateincoming media inquiries
  • Successfully coordinate and staff media events, with ability to proactively manage media
  • Accurately report publicity results to internal leadership
  • Maintain contact and build relationships with clients on a day-to-day basis, andassistwith client management, meetingdeadlinesand budget expectations
  • Write and edit high-quality materials, including media,messagingand marketing collateral
  • Support in the development of strategic PR plans to meet clients' business or marketing goals
  • Develop andmaintainsystems for keepingaccurateaccount of client deliverables
  • Be accountable for the delivery of client work to account leads inan accurateandtimelymanner

Requirements

  • Possess excellent writing, editing and presentation skills including the ability to write polished media and client materials
  • Demonstrate proven media relation skills including the ability to consistently secure media results and independently manage media opportunities
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to effectively express concepts to clients and senior team members
  • Interact professionally with high-level client executives,possessexcellent interpersonalskillsanddemonstratethe ability to effectively report at client meetings
  • Possess solid account management skills including the ability to leadand take ownership
  • Be independent and work well on a team; proactively contribute recommendations to enhance results
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner
  • Interest in and regular consumption of local and national media (newspapers, magazines, blogs, podcasts, tv, radio) and social media channels. (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn,X, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva and all social media platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree; minimum 2 years related professional experience preferred
