  • Serve as a diagnostics-level escalation point for technical import matters, including tariff classification, country of origin analysis, customs valuation, special programs, import documentation and harmonized implementation of import processes.
  • Monitor trade regulatory changes and maintain related procedures, documentation, KPIs and reporting to drive timely updates and visibility to program health, savings, control gaps and escalations.
  • Strengthen import internal controls by validating practices against approved procedures, coordinating self-testing and ensuring corrective actions are tracked to closure.
  • Oversee tariff refund, recovery and post-entry activities while partnering with OpCo trade teams, finance, sourcing, logistics, legal and advisors to drive consistent import compliance execution across the diagnostics platform.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Demonstrated experience advising on HTS classification, country of origin, import internal controls and customs program requirements in a complex, multi-site or matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or programs involving tariff mitigation, duty recovery, post-entry actions, internal controls or import process harmonization.
  • Experience developing or maintaining compliance procedures, technical documentation, metrics, KPIs, dashboards or leadership reporting for import compliance programs.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% domestically or internationally, as business needs require.
  • Primarily remote work environment; no routine physical requirements beyond standard computer-based work.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, biotechnology or other regulated industry experience.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) credential and advanced use of ACE, Power BI, or other trade compliance analytics tools.
  • Danaher Business System, lean, continuous improvement or formal project management methodology.
