Firm Address: 7500 West 110th Street, Suite 110, Overland Park, KS 66210

Title of the Position: Associate Attorney – Arkansas (Remote)

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Needed

This is a remote position with occasional trips to our Overland Park, KS office for training, meetings, etc. Candidates would ideally live in Arkansas.

Pappas Hayden Westberg & Jackson PC, a creditor’s rights and civil litigation law firm based in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an attorney licensed and residing in Arkansas (also holding a MO / KS / CO license is preferred but not required).

The position requires minimum office hours of 8:00am to 5:30pm for Full Time. Salary is commensurate with experience. Employees eligible for firm benefits receive a package which includes medical, 401k, paid holidays, paid time off, mileage reimbursement, bar membership, and CLE fees.

A few of the roles expected in this position include:

  • Ability to draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highvolume role (including keeping up with emails and voicemail)
  • Ability to work closely with support staff and other attorneys to maximize efficiency
  • Ability to communicate with clients, opposing attorneys and pro se litigants in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment related to case progress and resolution
  • Ability to make weekly court appearances (including traveling) for dockets, motion hearings and trial
  • Performing all other duties and projects assigned by partners
