We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Permanent Associate Attorney with a focus on Bankruptcy and Foreclosure to join our dynamic team in the Mortgage industry. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where your expertise and dedication will be valued. The role offers an exceptional chance to contribute to our mission of providing the highest quality legal services while maintaining our commitment to integrity, accessibility, and responsiveness. This position does not require billables, allowing you to focus on the quality of your work rather than the quantity.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney (Bankruptcy/Foreclosure), you will:
1. Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and foreclosure actions.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to bankruptcy and foreclosure cases.
3. Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations in bankruptcy and foreclosure matters.
4. Attend court hearings, mediations, and meetings relevant to bankruptcy and foreclosure cases.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to bankruptcy and foreclosure laws.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in bankruptcy and foreclosure laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. 5+ years of experience in bankruptcy/collections and/or foreclosure law.
3. Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
4. Proven experience in creditor rights and Replevin.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Proficiency in using legal software for research and case management.
