Job description

About Traliant
Traliant is an award-winning technology company transforming compliance training from boring to brilliant. We empower organizations to build healthier, more inclusive workplaces through engaging, interactive online training on topics like workplace harassment, diversity and inclusion, and data privacy. As a fast-growing, remote-first company, we're looking for team members who thrive in dynamic environments and share our passion for excellence and innovation.
The opportunity
Traliant is looking for a Director, Learning Content Operations to own Traliant's content strategy and learning portfolio. This is a high-impact role is ideal for a strategic content and instructional design leader who thrives at the intersection of learning experience, content operations, and cross-functional execution. The Director, Learning Content Operations will play a critical role in how Traliant designs, develops, launches and optimizes content across our course library, learning paths, and role-based training programs. This role requires equal parts instructions, design experience, operational leadership and stakeholder management. The role will need to understand the realities of compliance and workplace training: learners are busy, buyers are discerning, and the content has to both satisfy regulatory requirements and actually change behavior. You'll be managing a library that does both - including the learning paths, curriculums, and innovations that define the next era of Traliant content.
You'll report directly to the Chief Learning Officer and serve as the closest partner on content strategy and execution.
What you'll do
Help deliver on content portfolio strategy and revenue
  • Support the commercial performance of Traliant's content library, including revenue contribution, attach rates, renewal impact, and portfolio-level margin
  • Manage and help prioritize the content roadmap grounded in regulatory shifts, customer signals, and market opportunity
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, release plans and cross-functional execution
  • Partner with Product Marketing and GTM on packaging, bundling, and pricing strategy for content products, including new learning paths
  • Contribute to Traliant's Go-to-Market Council, ensuring content decisions map directly to commercial priorities and launch criteria

Lead instructional design and curriculum innovation
  • Suggest advancements in the pedagogical direction for the library: learning objectives frameworks, assessment philosophy, and instructional design standards
  • Champion innovative, engaging training approaches including adaptive learning, personalized learning paths, branched "choose-your-own-adventure" scenarios, behavioral analytics, microlearning, and scenario-based design
  • Partner with Compliance SMEs to ensure content is accurate, current, defensible, and aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Architect and evolve learning paths and role-based curriculums: new hire journeys, manager training, industry-specific and role-based programs, and certification tracks
  • Establish quality standards for learner engagement, completion, knowledge retention, and behavior change

Lead and Develop the content and instructional design team
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of instructional designers and content developers
  • Foster a high-accountability, collaborative and learner-centered team culture
  • Oversee the end-to-end content lifecycle including scripting through production, QA, localization, and release
  • Improve team workflow, production planning and resource allocation to support scalable execution

Partner deeply with Go-to-Market and cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and GTM teams on positioning, differentiation, and launch strategy for new courses and learning paths
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales Enablement to improve learner adoption, customer engagement and content utilization
  • Collaborate with Engineering on capabilities that unlock new content experiences (adaptive, personalized, AI-powered)
  • Contribute content insights and customer feedback to broader product and business planning discussions

What success looks like (first 6-12 months)
  • Establish a scalable operating cadence for content planning, prioritization, and releases
  • Improve cross-functional alignment between Content, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering
  • Successfully launched new learning paths or content initiatives aligned to customer and market needs
  • Improve roadmap predictability and reduced operational bottlenecks across the content lifecycle
  • Deliver measurable improvements in learner engagement, adoption, completion, or related content performance metrics
  • Help enable Product leadership to operate more strategically by driving stronger execution and operational visibility

Requirements
What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in instructional design, content strategy, or learning experience design, with meaningful time in eLearning, compliance training, or LMS environments
  • Proven experience managing a training library or content portfolio at scale - you've owned what's in it, what's not, and why
  • Demonstrated track record leading a team of instructional designers, content developers, or curriculum managers
  • Deep instructional design expertise: adult learning theory, ADDIE/SAM, Bloom's, Kirkpatrick, assessment design, scenario-based and microlearning approaches
  • Hands-on experience shipping innovative learning experiences - adaptive learning, personalized paths, branched scenarios, behavioral analytics, and modern approaches
  • Experience contributing to commercial outcomes: revenue, attach rate, retention, or similar metrics tied to content decisions
  • Strong command of learning technology standards: LMS integrations, SCORM, xAPI, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA)
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment in a growth-focused environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-ready clarity

Nice to have
  • Master's in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Experience in compliance, ethics, HR, or regulated-industry training
  • CPTD, ATD, or equivalent professional certification
  • Familiarity with agile methodology workflows
  • Background in compliance, ethics, HR, legal, or other regulated-industry training
  • Experience applying AI/GenAI thoughtfully to content creation, personalization, or learner experience
  • Video production, interactive media, or immersive learning (VR/AR) experience
  • Familiarity with enterprise buyer dynamics, procurement cycles, and security reviews
