Job description

About Lark
Lark is a premier boutique hotel company with a portfolio of unique, independent hotel partners. We create hospitality experiences with soul, and we are looking for a Digital Content Manager to join our Marketing team. If you are a right- and left-brained storyteller who is as comfortable diving into Google Analytics 4 as you are shooting a viral Instagram Reel, we want to talk to you.
About the Opportunity
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year (Full-Time, Benefit Eligible).
As the Digital Content Manager, you will own the end-to-end digital footprint for the Lark brand and our independent hotel partners. You will champion the guest booking journey by managing our websites, executing a sharp SEO strategy, and building a dynamic social media pipeline. While this role will be remote, we are looking for a candidate that resides in the Boston/Portsmouth/Portland/Providence area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Website & CMS Management: Monitor website health, user experience (UX), and currency against marketing promotions. Use CMS and CRM tools to execute day-to-day content updates, form hypotheses, and run A/B tests to reduce booking friction.
  • Social Media & Short-Form Video: Lead the social strategy and posting calendars across Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms. Plan, shoot, edit, and schedule engaging video content.
  • UGC & Influencer Management: Architect user-generated content programs and manage influencer relationships from initial outreach and contracts to content repurposing.
  • SEO & Performance Analytics: Drive on-page optimization, metadata, site structure, and internal linking. Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console to translate data into actionable marketing recommendations.
  • Content Strategy & Copywriting: Write compelling, on-brand copy for websites, landing pages, paid ads, email campaigns, and seasonal promotions in collaboration with our Creative team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the vital digital link between corporate marketing, our web agency, and on-property General Managers/Owners to ensure content accuracy and compliance.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated digital content management experience with a portfolio highlighting web, copy, and social media success. (Hospitality, travel, or tourism experience is strongly preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in CMS platforms, SEO fundamentals, GA4, and Google Search Console.
  • Creative Execution: Hands-on experience creating, editing, and scheduling short-form video. Familiarity with social tools (Later, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social) and design tools (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Location Constraint: While this is a remote role, candidates must reside within the regional footprint of Boston, MA, Portsmouth, NH, Portland, ME, or Providence, RI for proximity to key properties and team gatherings.
  • Your Mindset: A self-starter with a "hospitality soul"-someone who genuinely cares about people, communities, and the art of travel.

Working Requirements & ADA Compliance
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Remote Setup: This position is primarily remote. Must have a dedicated, secure home workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
  • Sedentary Work: Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, operating a computer, and viewing digital screens (80-90% of the time).
  • Content Production: Ability to operate mobile photography/videography equipment, including smartphones, gimbals, or lightweight cameras. Occasional bending, kneeling, or reaching to capture content during site visits.
  • Lifting: Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs of marketing collateral, signage, or content gear.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for portfolio site visits and corporate meetings. This includes driving, flying, or taking the train within the United States, Canada, and/or Mexico. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport and driver's license.
