As a remote mental health counselor, you will engage with clients primarily through virtual platforms, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a client-focused approach. • Conduct detailed assessments of clients’ mental health conditions through comprehensive interviews and diagnostic evaluations, leading to well-informed treatment plan development.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s unique background and needs.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies during emergency situations, ensuring timely access to support for clients experiencing acute mental health distress.
• Engage actively in community outreach efforts aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma, contributing to overall community engagement.

Your role will involve working with adults, adolescents, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will become part of their healing journey by using your therapeutic skills to empower clients from various backgrounds and cultures.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional communication skills complemented by the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
• Cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population, understanding the unique challenges they face.
• Organizational skills to efficiently manage documentation and record-keeping consistent with best practices in mental health care.

• Experience working in community health settings, ideally understanding the specific needs and challenges faced by underserved populations.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and their application in diverse clinical settings.
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems and telehealth technologies to facilitate remote therapy sessions.
