Kansas LPN • RN • CMA • Experienced Medical Assistant
Part-Time | Remote | Family Practice

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced clinical professional to provide remote clinical support for a busy, independent family practice.
This is not a direct patient care position. You will help keep the practice running efficiently by managing clinical workflows, preparing charts, organizing the provider's inbox, and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care behind the scenes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pre-chart patient appointments
  • Review records before visits
  • Prepare preventive care reminders and health maintenance
  • Manage provider  and clinic inboxes
  • Process medication refill requests using provider protocols
  • Assisting with completion of prior authorizations
  • Review incoming laboratory and imaging results for provider review
  • Coordinate referrals and outside records
  • Respond to patient portal messages
  • Assist with prescription management
  • Improve office workflows
  • Additional clinical administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Current Kansas LPN, RN, CMA, RMA, CCMA, or experienced Medical Assistant
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent Family Practice experience
  • Current experience using Athenahealth (AthenaOne) is REQUIRED
  • Experience managing provider inboxes
  • Experience processing medication refills and prior authorizations
  • Excellent computer and technology skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

Schedule

  • Remote position
  • Approximately 20-25 hours per week
  • Flexible weekday schedule
