Job Overview
Essmann is a specialist in custom cabinetry, millwork, and furniture, renowned for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and tailored solutions for corporate, church, and private clients. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Business Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing our business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and bridging the gap between our operational needs and technology solutions to drive efficiency and growth. This is a fully remote position, offering a competitive compensation rate of $45 - $60 USD per hour.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across various departments, including sales, design, and production, to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Evaluating existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimised solutions.
  • Translating business requirements into clear functional specifications for system enhancements or new technology implementations.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed documentation, including process maps, user stories, and business cases.
  • Analysing data to generate insights and creating comprehensive reports for management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet organisational needs.
  • Supporting project management activities by helping to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process modelling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A self-starter with the discipline and ability to work productively in a remote setting.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience within the manufacturing, bespoke furniture, or construction industry is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is desirable.
