Job Description :
We looking for a strong workers compensation defense Attorney motivated for their next opportunity in a very fun and hi-tech work comp environment. The proper candidate will have experience in work comp defense for minimum 6 years and excellent communication skills, strong desire in litigation and a desire to learn workers compensation from the best in the business. We have a work from home environment but must be able to travel to the WCAB for the mandated hearings. Must be in good standing with CA State Bar and have a CA Bar license.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters from assignment through resolution.
Represent clients at Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) hearings, conferences, and trials.
Prepare and draft legal pleadings, petitions, motions, and legal correspondence.
Conduct legal research and case analysis to develop strong litigation strategies.
Take and defend depositions of claimants, medical professionals, and other witnesses.
Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and opposing counsel regarding case developments.
Prepare case evaluations, status reports, and litigation plans for clients.
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Ensure compliance with California workers' compensation laws, regulations, and procedural requirements.
