Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of patient access and registration to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive patient experience. This role provides frontline leadership for staff performing scheduling and insurance verification, while ensuring compliance with established policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor serves as a key resource for staff and patients, assisting with workflow coordination, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts

Essential Functions

Supervise patient registration staff to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely completion of registration and access functions.

Provide coaching, training, and daily guidance to staff to promote professional growth and accountability.

Monitor staff productivity, quality, and adherence to departmental performance standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Assist in resolving escalated patient registration or financial clearance issues, including insurance coverage and authorization concerns.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies in all registration activities.

Prepare and review reports on staff performance and registration activities to identify areas for improvement.

Support initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and improve service delivery.

Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure smooth handoffs and efficient workflows.

Participate in departmental meetings, workgroups, and projects to support patient access and organizational objectives.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirement: 0-4 years of related/progressive experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
