Job Summary

Responsible for collecting and entering patient demographic and insurance information. Greets and assists customers promptly and professionally. Schedules appointments and completes accurate patient registration. Coordinates admission activities and ensures exceptional service quality. Supports office operations through clerical and administrative duties, ensuring compliance with privacy and organizational protocols.


Essential Functions

Registers patients according to established workflows and ensures accurate entry of demographic and insurance information for medical records and billing.

Verifies health insurance and completes pre-certification when necessary.

Collects co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket payments, manages daily cash activities, and ensures proper balancing, verification, and deposit.

Answers phones, schedules appointments, completes patient referrals, and processes documentation in a timely and courteous manner.

Manages office correspondence, medical record documentation, and processes information and medical records requests while maintaining confidentiality.

Greets and assists patients, visitors, and staff, providing accurate information and directing them to appropriate destinations.

Coordinates and schedules admissions, procedures, and bed assignments, collaborating with physicians and other departments.

Assists with the orientation and development of employees, reviews and delegates daily tasks, and provides oversight of departmental processes.

Monitors, audits, and works work queues, analyzes workflows, and ensures timely and accurate data entry.

Performs other duties as assigned.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
