Location: West Michigan Region (Travel Required)

American House Senior Living is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead sales performance, occupancy growth, and revenue generation across a portfolio of senior living communities.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Regional Sales Director serves as a strategic sales leader responsible for coaching community sales teams, developing marketing and outreach initiatives, strengthening referral partnerships, and driving occupancy performance throughout the region.

This role is ideal for an experienced sales leader, senior living sales professional, healthcare sales manager, multi-site sales director, or business development leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of achieving occupancy and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Occupancy Growth
  • Lead sales performance initiatives across multiple senior living communities.
  • Drive occupancy growth and revenue achievement through strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Motivate, inspire, and coach Community Relations Directors (CRDs) to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Support communities in developing proactive sales strategies to increase lead generation, tours, deposits, and move-ins.
  • Analyze occupancy trends and identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
  • Partner with Executive Directors and Regional Directors of Operations to improve performance in underperforming communities.
Sales Coaching & Team Development
  • Recruit, interview, and help select top-performing Community Relations Directors.
  • Train new sales team members on the American House Sales & Marketing Playbook.
  • Provide ongoing one-on-one sales coaching through weekly coaching calls and performance reviews.
  • Support community teams in sales closing techniques, relationship building, referral development, and lead conversion strategies.
  • Facilitate regional sales meetings, focus calls, and educational sessions to drive accountability and results.
  • Conduct sales training presentations at Executive Director meetings.
Marketing & Business Development
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop effective lead generation and advertising strategies.
  • Identify innovative sales and marketing opportunities that increase traffic, inquiries, tours, and move-ins.
  • Manage relationships with key referral partners, including national referral agencies and local healthcare partners.
  • Ensure community positioning, branding, and messaging remain competitive and aligned with company goals.
  • Research industry trends and recommend strategies that support occupancy growth and competitive advantage.
Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
  • Review and manage quarterly marketing plans for each community.
  • Conduct and analyze competitor assessments and market intelligence reports.
  • Monitor local market conditions, new developments, and competitive activity.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in existing and future markets.
  • Support successful positioning of new developments, acquisitions, and community transitions.
Operations & Financial Management
  • Partner with Operations leaders to manage sales and marketing budgets.
  • Evaluate community performance using occupancy reports, lead metrics, and conversion data.
  • Utilize CRM and lead management systems, including Yardi, to monitor sales activity and outcomes.
  • Ensure communities follow established sales processes and best practices.
  • Maintain accountability for regional occupancy and revenue performance.
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience with demonstrated achievement of sales goals.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily housing, real estate, leasing, business development, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, lead management, relationship selling, and customer service.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with performance metrics, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Multi-site or regional sales leadership experience.
  • Senior living, assisted living, independent living, memory care, healthcare, or senior housing sales experience.
  • Experience using Yardi or similar CRM and lead management platforms.
  • Sales management experience with direct oversight of multiple locations.
