Pay Range: $50,000–$62,500 per year, plus performance-based bonus eligibility

Sky Zone Fairfax – Fair Oaks is bringing a one-of-a-kind active entertainment experience to the Fair Oaks Mall community. Guests come to Sky Zone for birthday parties, group events, memberships, and everyday fun, and our team is responsible for creating a safe, clean, high-energy environment that families want to return to again and again.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in opening and operating Sky Zone Fairfax – Fair Oaks, helping build the team, establish daily operating standards, and deliver a standout guest experience from day one. Reporting to the General Manager, this role oversees shift execution, team performance, labor management, facility standards, and safety compliance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, leading from the floor, and creating memorable experiences in a fast-paced family entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations & Shift Management

· Lead daily operations: Serve as Manager on Duty, overseeing opening and closing procedures, shift flow, POS operations, court activity, and party execution in a new, high-visibility Fair Oaks Mall location.

· Manage labor and scheduling: Align staffing levels with guest volume, operating needs, and budget targets.

· Maintain facility standards: Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, organization, equipment readiness, and overall visual presentation.

2. Team Leadership & Development

· Coach team members: Train, direct, and support Team Leads and frontline staff to promote accountability, professionalism, and strong guest service.

· Support staffing and onboarding: Assist the General Manager with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding a strong launch team for Sky Zone Fairfax – Fair Oaks.

· Drive performance: Provide timely feedback, address performance concerns, and help maintain strong morale and retention.

3. Guest Experience & Event Execution

· Resolve guest concerns: Address escalated guest questions or service issues with urgency, empathy, and professionalism.

· Support events and parties: Partner with the events team during peak periods to ensure smooth birthday parties, private rentals, group events, and membership-driven guest visits.

4. Safety, Risk Management & Compliance

· Enforce safety standards: Ensure team members follow Sky Zone safety protocols, court monitoring expectations, equipment checks, and emergency procedures.

· Oversee audits and controls: Monitor inventory, park supplies, cash handling procedures, and daily operational audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, fitness, recreation, or high-volume customer service.

· Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods.

· Leadership style: Hands-on, energetic, and comfortable leading from the floor during busy operating hours.

· Technical skills: Comfortable using POS systems, scheduling tools, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

· Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
