RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Sourcing Consultant has direct responsibility for developing and leading a world-class strategy to deliver sourcing solutions and programs that will fuel the talent pipeline for mission critical roles within Assurant. 

Key responsibilities include building customized sourcing strategies in collaboration with functional leaders, TA and HR to deliver high quality talent to meet the short and long term talent needs of the organization; delivering exceptional talent to recruiters and hiring managers and driving a consistent approach, methodology and best practice for implementing and building sourcing capabilities within the Talent Acquisition team. The Sourcing Consultant will work closely with the TA Infrastructure function in leveraging the tools, technology, compliance practices and processes utilized within Assurant. Additionally, the Sourcing Consultant will ensure all candidates and hiring manager contact and experience is exceptional.

Proactively document, identify and deliver targeted candidates by utilizing multiple customized strategies and practices including:

  • Employee referrals and other name generation tactics
  • Passive candidate development through cold calling into competitive companies
  • Boolean keyword searching on Internet portals and job boards
  • Query, maintain and update online candidate databases including social media sites, contact lists, websites, user groups, blogs and other innovative sources of untapped talent
  • Strategic relationship development and participation in networking, industry and diversity related organizations and events
  • Utilize and document sourcing approaches which align and support the company's compliance requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to capture contact related information. Ability to manage large database to sort, add, and transpose date to be quickly added to existing data.  

Develop functional sourcing strategies designed to meet the long and short term talent goals to enable business growth.

  • Build internal and external relationships with functional leaders, recruiters and employees to foster shared accountability for sourcing talent.
  • Gather and utilize market intelligence and provide ongoing feedback and influence to recruiters and leaders on the realities of the marketplace to gain better understanding of required talent needs.
  • Monitor and maintain awareness of industry and company objectives and initiatives.
  • Develop candidate and hiring manager pitches designed to engage and compel mutual interest in candidates and positions.
  • Build Talent Communities to provide access to qualified and interested candidates and referrals.
  • Track and monitor the effectiveness of the sourcing strategy and adjusts appropriately.

Consult closely with internal stakeholders to develop sourcing capabilities and execute sourcing tactics/strategies to provide mission critical talent and pipeline development for future growth:

  • Partner to identify and nurture strategic outreach relationships within local markets and functional areas.
  • Participate in TA and company meetings, conferences and events with recruiters and business leaders to develop business acumen and establish credibility with functional leaders and nurture candidate relationships.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing work based on business demands and meeting deadlines. 

  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and requirements.
  • Utilizes consultative approach with leaders to develop project and recruiting plans.

Optimize performance in partnership with manager through the utilization and review of metrics and sourcing outcome results. Metrics may include the following:

  • Service level agreements.
  • Staffing metrics.
  • Pipeline quality and hiring results.
  • Leader / recruiter feedback.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Five years of sourcing/recruiting experience for professional/leadership positions across a wide range of disciplines
  • Five years of corporate or professional search firm experience
  • Two years of sourcing experience
  • Ability to utilize an applicant tracking system for sourcing, managing and tracking candidates
  • Must be able to build and implement sourcing strategies which deliver passive and active candidates for niche roles, including diverse talent


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of recruiting experience
  • 2 years of sourcing experience for non IT roles for national roles
  • AIRS or other relevant staffing certifications are a plus, e.g., CIR, ACIR, CDR, CSMR, CSSR, ECRE or PRC.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer skills including experience moving between multiple computer screens while entering data
  • Knowledge of the insurance, real estate, financial industry
  • State of the art recruitment/sourcing experience including cloud mining.
  • Track record of creating and fostering relationships with external diverse organizations (e.g., NABA, ALPFA, NSHMBA, IABA)
  • Bilingual a plus
